Within the client's departments of "Data Management" a project was started already last year to reshape the ways of working and to implement "agile ways of software development" within our area. It was decided to use elements out of the SAFE framework. After a phase of structuring and rather theoretical approaches, we started now the "implementation and transformation" phase. This project is a transformation project. The goal of the project is to achieve a working setup of the team, with efficient processes and following agile (SAFE) methodology. Planned start/enddate: 11.2020 - 08.2021.

Description:

Tasks:
- Analysis of the as is situation of the team, working and communication structures. The consultant will analyse the as is situation by doing team workshops and 121 remote sessions
- Documentation of gaps and prioritization of next steps and measures (in confluence/MS Office)
- Summarizing the gap analysis and next steps and presenting to the management via MS Teams sessions. Next steps will be approved by the client
- Advising the individual “Delivery Streams” (consisting of other internal and external colleagues) based on his expertise and experience on how to improve work efficiency and to apply “agile methodologies” in their daily work. The consultant will organize this by himself
- Advising the Program Backlog Manager/internal deliver team members on how to use MS DevOps best in our framework:
- By improving/changing the system setup (appropriate usage of Epics, Features, Tasks and the technical links to the overall goals). This will be done via knowledge workshops and documentation. The consultant will organize when the workshops take place and the concrete content
- By communication to the team members and to give steer how to set up meetings, communication, agile methods in the best and most appropriate way
- The consultant is implementation agile ways of working in the team, not working in an agile way
Used tools:
- MS Dev Ops
- MS Office
- Excellent communication skills and pragmatism
- Proven experience/understanding of software development and operations
- Ideally with the background and experience in the SAFE Agile Framework
- Experience of implementation of agile methods & approaches in similar projects
- Business language is English
- Tthis requires fluent and sound language capabilities
- The clientdecided to use Azure DevOps as central tool - sound experience of this tool is a pre-requesite
