Project Description:
As a market participant in European commodity trading our client is obliged to report deals in financial instrument according to the EMIR regulation to the regulator ESMA. With EMIR Refit this obligation will be subject to major changes. In the current pre-study the client will assess the impact of EMIR Refit on the client’s reporting obligation and needed changes in the existing reporting landscape.

Project Description:
As a market participant in European commodity trading our client is obliged to report deals in financial instrument according to the EMIR regulation to the regulator ESMA. With EMIR Refit this obligation will be subject to major changes. In the current pre-study the client will assess the impact of EMIR Refit on the client’s reporting obligation and needed changes in the existing reporting landscape.
Task description:
- Interpreting and outlining the regulatory requirements and impact analysis of revised EMIR RTS on trading and transaction reporting landscape in general.
- Assessing the impact of EMIR Refit on the client’s situation being a NFC- and the current reporting landscape
- Considering MiFID II in above assessment
- Monitoring of industry-wide regulatory developments and presenting these developments to the client’s Regulation team
- Documenting the results in a Bill of Requirements: The results are to be presented to the stakeholders of Regulatory Reporting Team and Legal. The Bill of Requirements is subject to formal acceptance by these stakeholders.
- Broad knowledge of MiFID II/EMIR regulation, including transaction reporting obligations;
- Good analytical skills;
- Good communication skills and ability to align with stakeholders, e.g. Legal, Trading, IT;
- Good presentation skills;
- Good documentation skills and experience in writing a Bill of Requirements.
