For one of our clients in the fast-moving consumer goods industry we’re looking for a freelance SAP SD&LE Consultant:  

Project description:
The service is requested as part of the project  TM Roadmap where SAP precalculation shall be rolled out to the countries Vietnam and Philipines, as well as a 4PL in Thailand will be connected into the standard client Data points. As part of the S4 frontrunner, a new carrier invoicing process shall be designed and implemented for a pilot country.
The project is divided into the following sections:

• Rollout of SAP pre-calculation and the S4 frontrunner
• TMS capability rollouts and improvements (OTM/SAP), specifically the SAP precalculation in Vietnam and the Philippines
• S4 frontrunner, Agency Business Document for freight invoicing
  • Design and implement a new carrier invoice process in a pilot country
  • Definition and Implementation of a template for Service PO based freight invoicing (S4 front runner). The template will be handed over to the client and validated for further usage.
  • Roll out of template functionality
• Professional consulting of the project team in monthly project meetings regarding:
  • Status updates on the current phase
  • Resolution of currently open topics

Task description:
The client will provide access to all necessary documents and information in advance. All documentation provided by the external contractor is subject to approval by the client.
The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the external contractor:
 

• Analyze and Design
  • Analyze business processes as it is currently set up in SAP Horizon and document in Powerpoint and word documents
  • Designing a Business Process: Agnostic Process definition of seafreight process in Adhesives by reviewing and documenting business requirements from different regions
  • Designing process solution with reference to logistics processes
  • Identifying application requirements (create Change Rquests and Functional Designs)
  • Creating Requirement List (Change Requests, Functional Designs)
• Build:
  • Customizing and Development the processes specified as part of Analysis and Design
  • Document Customizing of the processes specified as part of Analysis and Design
  • Creating variants for all relevant programs 
  • Creating a List of used interfaces/programs with variants  
  • Technical Designs of solutions that cover the processes specified as part of Analysis and Design
• Integration test:
  • Plan, create, check interfaces                  
  • Creating an Interface Overview
  • Preparing and managing master data                  
  • Master data list
  • Preparing and executing integration test              
  • Testing case Database

 

• User acceptance test:
  • Consult definition of test scenarios            
  • Test case Database
  • Consult user acceptance test                   
  • Follow-up and closure of Test cases & Problem reports

 

• Deploy and Cut over:
  • Prepare detailed cut-over plan                           
  • Cut-Over Plan
  • Set-up deployment environment              
  • Master Data Migration
  • Prepare and manage master data /Cut-Over activities                
  • Checked Cut-Over activity list

 

• Go-Live:
  • Sign-off / Acceptance of cut-over plan       
  • Sign-Off Document for Go-live
  • Manage and consult first postings             
  • Analyze and monitor Go-live evaluation

 

• Post Go-live / Hypercare:
  • Manage consult activities                        
  • Go-live Open Issue List
  • Coordinate Bug fixing                             
  • Additional CR and solution follow-up
  • Consult of local change mgmt. (key user)
  • Adjustments of scope (need to be defined) 

 

• Knowledge Transfer and Handover to Maintenance:
  • Create handover documents                    
  • KT Document
  • Update of process and system documentation
  • Explain new/changed processes

The service provision of the contractor has the goal to facilitate the above-mentioned projects and realize the benefits of the invest orders. The benefits are described in a well-defined financial business case.
Skills:

• Project Management (Waterfall and/or Agile)
• Excellent knowledge and experience in SAP SD and LE-TRA
• Excellent knowledge on logistics processes and electronic communication with carriers and 3PLs
• Experience with Shipment precalculation for parcel, road and sea freight
• Optionally, experience with Oracle Transport Management
• Good communication skills in English
• Good team collaboration skills
• Experience in intercultural project environment

Project location: 40% onsite (Düsseldorf), 60% remote
Project duration: 10+ months
