For one of our clients we are looking for a Network Engineer
Overview:
Following the decision to split client into 2 separate and autonomous businesses, the now independent client has developed a series of key IT projects which in turn will be developed and delivered and will complete the full physical separation away from former owner. In the network area this separation took place and network optimization project was started to implement measures in the client network including such topics as dedicated cloud access, IP management, Quality of Service, Local Internet Breakouts. Overall target is to improve network performance and increase business satisfaction.
For the network optimisation project the client is looking for a network engineer who will manage client/T-Systems and DXC with execution of the following tasks:
DC Exit coordination and/or Troubleshooting in the frame of the DC Exit program in 2019. Identification of the network requirements, assessing those, identification of risks and development of measures to mitigate risks
Analysis of the application migration roadmap (e.g. Cloud environment) to identify bottlenecks
Assessment of network requirements for migration
Consult application owners with regard to implementing application migration
Manage the incident management process for Sev 1 and Sev 2, optimization of the process, orchestrating different providers and development of the solutions,
Evaluate all Sev 1 and Sev 2 Incidents and problem reports and consult the providers (e.g. T-Systems and DXC)
Improvements to the client WIFI design and implementation based on the prior analysis
Review design of Network QoS (Quality of Service) and implementation of the solution
Design and implement local and regional internet breakouts
Implement proactive capacity management in the network area
Implement and execute network end to end monitoring
Coordination of scope and plan with other project initiatives: Windows 10 rollout, Active Directory migration, O365
Coordinate various project teams
Progress reporting towards the program and on senior management level
