For one of our clients we are looking for a Senior VMware Engineer (contractor)
 
Job description:

• Build the VMWare environment for the client’s S4 Hana project.
• The SAP Hana will be deployed on HPE Greenlake solution. This solution consists of HPE equipment (HPE Synergy composable software defined Infrastructure) and will be running VMWare as hypervisor, Red Hat enterprise Linux as OS and the automation tool is Red Hat Ansible
• This specific role within the project is for a VMWare engineer that will be responsible for the deployment and and management of the VMware environment for the client’s S4Hana deployment.
• He will also support in the creation of the Linux OS installation manuals and initial configurations.
• Engineer will also Support the application teams throughout the project lifecycle with their SAP installations and required infra configurations.

 
Technical skills:

• VMWare, storage, OS management (Linux), application installation, management and monitoring tools. Ansible knowledge is a nice to have
• Experience with VWware on HPE Synergy composable infra and HPE Simplivity HCI (while partner of the client is responsible for installation and proactive support of HPE Synergy, HPE Simplivity HCI, HPE Primera and HPE StorOnce)
• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation / VMware SDDC
• Experience with VMware deployments at enterprise scale (integrate with enterprise network, storage and backup solutions, high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring and lifecycle management)
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and/or SAP on VMware is a pre (while we have a dedicated Red Hat engineer for OS related tasks and SAP build team in place)
• At a minimum English speaking (German in addition preferred)
