Data Scientist with expereince in Bayesian networks - October 2021
remote/onsite DÜS, remote/onsite DÜS
For one of our clients we are looking for a Data Scientist with experience in Bayesian networks
As part of the Unravel project, we plan to provide iterative formulation design to R&D teams. This includes, among other things, to explore Bayesian Optimization methods. However, this has no relevance for the core products. Consequently, we do not have our own employees with sufficient expertise in connection Bayesian Optimization and for this reason requires external expertise. The contractor used by us has extensive experience with projects that require development services Bayesian Optimization methods, therefore the contractor has a unique position and provides significantly different services than the internal staff.
Gathering business requirements for data science products in 2 onsite and 3 remote workshops according to the assigned backlog items that will be organized by the contractor. Therefore, the contractor receives all relevant information in advance.
Design data science products or components according to the aforementioned business requirements
Implement or improve scalable and robust data science products according to the assigned backlog items using state-of-the-art engineering practices by
Development of data science product features according to product backlog
Design of data models according to product backlog
Design and implementation of user interface components according to product backlog
Testing of data science product features according to product backlog, in case of identified bugs or issues the task is to rework it from step 1
Release of data science product features according to product backlog
Script based implementation of data engineering tasks and data science model according to in Azure WIKI available coding and configuration standards and guidelines.
Documentation of technical implementation and related process documentation in Azure WIKI, that will be validated and approved by the client
Relevant experience in a data science environment.
Strong skills in solving complex problems. Ability to structure and reduce complexity. Ability to transition from bird-eye-view to detailed view and back.
Business acumen and ability to work closely with non-technical teams. High confidence in verbal and written communication.
Expert knowledge in at least one of the following data science areas: Bayesian networks/MCMC, supervised or unsupervised machine learning, statistical modeling.
Experience in Bayesian Optimization or optimization in general, ideally involving surrogate models and a constrained search space
R&D mindset, motivating you to ask deeper questions about the data and enabling you to discover insights through finding and reviewing relevant literature
