The project is about capability assessment process for senior Engineering Project Managers, that includes a competency matrix with leveling, and based on project complexity.
The aim of the project in 4-months is:
Create a comprehensive capability matrix for the asset project teams in order for them to deliver asset projects based on norms, accompanied with the latest industry benchmark competencies,as well as to allow assessment, development and tracking of the required capabilities and skills. This includes the following tasks:

The project is about capability assessment process for senior Engineering Project Managers, that includes a competency matrix with leveling, and based on project complexity.
The aim of the project in 4-months is:
- Competency matrix for key skills from interviews with subject matter experts
- Leveling of skills against a standard with input from subject matter experts
- Role profiling with input from subject matter experts
- Implementation ready of an HR competency tracking system
- Communication plan for the business
- Change management strategy for implementation
Create a comprehensive capability matrix for the asset project teams in order for them to deliver asset projects based on norms, accompanied with the latest industry benchmark competencies,as well as to allow assessment, development and tracking of the required capabilities and skills. This includes the following tasks:
- Analyze client, industry and IPMA best practices in strategic capability management for project teams and their application for asset projects at the client
- Evaluate, prioritize and create clearly identifiable capabilities for key asset project roles reflecting the company strategy and needs
- Match the identified capabilities for key asset project roles to project complexity
- Steer project team with the goal of the project meeting milestone deadlines and internal parameters
- Prioritize and coordinate the workload by assigning the work packages
- Professionally consult key internal experts stakeholders, including general project managers, commercial project managers, technical project managers, PMO, line managers and collaboration functions on capability management
- 10 years+ experience in project management disciplines with proven track record of successful large scale complex asset project development and/or delivery
- Successful track record in one of key project management roles (general, technical, commercial, commissioning, site, HSE project manager, PMO) is a plus
- IPMA (preferably) or PMI certification is a plus
- Ability to assess project complexity and to address it by setting up respectively competent project team
- Ability to manage and communicate effectively with a variety of complex internal stakeholders
- In depth knowledge and expertise of strategic capability building and management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to influence effectively at all levels
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- A track record of driving activities independently. Must have: English; German language not a must have
