For one of our clients in the apparel industry we’re looking for a freelance Designer FW24 Jacket:

Project Description

The project is about the Design of seasonal Jackets and coloration of carry over / carry forward jackets. The project’s scope includes design concepts, preparation of status presentations, seasonal product coloration, final seasonal overviews and production ready files.
The project has the goal to deliver towards Jacket regular Track briefing completing the FW24 Jacket offer.

 
Service Description

Briefing on Day 1 by the client:
 

• Seasonal product briefing by Marketing
• Consumer study identification and review
• Seasonal Outdoor Design Direction
• Seasonal communicated stories
• Timeline and Deadline/handover overview
• Presentation & Techpack file templates
• All documents to be handed over to contractor upfront

Timing is based on the design creation Timelines for FW24.

The client will provide all necessary products, information, contact details, documents, access to relevant systems and all other requirements in advance.

The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the contractor: 
        
WORK ON FW24 JACKETS:
 

• Provide a PDF concept presentation in Adobe Illustrator for 12 product creations including production ready techpacking and coloration process based on the brand seasonal briefing and the brand identity.
• Present concept via MS Teams to the cross functional team including senior leadership team.
• Outline the story and the consumer insights in the concept presentation based on contractor’s experience
• Prepare the design of the products in 3 presentations and as 18 technical design sketches including the application of color in the tech packs as well as color overviews linking with the rest of the Terrex offer.

Presentation = Illustrator file containing black and white sketches, mood, color and color overview, consumer insights.
96 pages (8 each jackets) or/and equivalent with MIRO online presentations
Shared on Sharepoint via Teams to the x-functional meetings (Gutchecks & CR0 – see timelines)

• Hold presentations via MS Teams to the cross functional team including senior leadership team.
• Handover production ready techpack files (based on techpack file template)

including the application of color in the color pages in line with the overall color overview of the Outdoor offer.
Shared on Sharepoint via Teams to the x-functional meetings (see Timelines)

• Select technically feasible construction techniques and control the quality of the production process based on mock ups and samples and supplier feedback provided by the Outdoor development team upfront.

Timing is based on the design creation calendar for FW24.

FW24 (Dates are subject to reservation)

• Nov, 22th: Concept Presentation (onsite or virtual)
• Dec, 14th: Product Presentation (onsite or virtual)
• Jan, 25^th CR0 (onsite or virtual)
• Feb, 10^th Design Pack Handover (onsite or virtual)
• May, 10^th CR1 (onsite)
• Tbd Fittings (onsite) (depends on Sample arrival)

Project location: Herzogenaurach (20% onsite, 80% remote)
