For one of our clients we are looking for an UI/UX Designer
Project name: Crystal
Project description: Crystal is an analytics software product for clinical trial operation that visualizes complex operational clinical trial data. It provides transparency and monitoring into our clinical trial performance.
With Crystal we:
oversee project and trial planning and actual conduct in real-time,
accelerate understanding of progress and risk,
gain agility in collaboration and speed up decisions,
take well informed actions based on insights and predictions to prevent issues,
see opportunities to speed up and prevent delays.
Background to the assignment:
The product aims to visualize complex data stories in compelling ways, utilizing data visualization and data storytelling best practices in graphs, charts, infographics, dashboards, and geographic visualization techniques.
As the product team does not have these skills internally, we seek to have the tasks completed by an external consultant (freelancer). The freelancer will hold a unique position within the development team.
Tasks:
Create a consistent and coherent design standard that informs the visual language of the entire product, including typography, iconography, and a scalable data visualization design library incorporating data-vis best practices as a backbone for the product
Design from individual data visualizations to complex dashboards
Translate research insights into appropriate design artifacts
Actively brainstorming, presenting results, and constantly getting feedback with developers, UX researcher, stakeholders, product owner daily
Create wireframes, prototypes and refined UI designs based on existing artefacts, co-creation workshops and research insights
Iterate designs based on ux testing, internal reviews, and customer feedback
Monitor the success of implemented designs and gather feedback regularly
SKILLS:
The designer needs prior experience designing for analytics dashboards or similar application in the enterprise context as well as a background in UI design and experience working with UX researchers and cross functional development teams.
Experience creating designs and complex prototypes in Figma
Typography and UI design
Data visualization and analytics concepts
Designing features based on user stories, IA and task analysis
Fluent in English in writing and speaking
At least 3-5 years of previous experience working in this field is required.
Start: ASAP Duration: 3 months+ Location: remote with occasional travel to Ingelheim or Biberach for team meetings (maximum every two weeks) Capacity: 40 hours/week
