SAP Basis Expert with LaMa knowledge - March 2024

For one of our clients we are looking for a SAP Basis Specialist with LaMa knоwledge

Project description: Our international (ENG, GER) unit is very heterogeneous (around 14 different areas), mainly focusing on SAP based solutions and strongly following the ITIL Framework.

  • SAP ERP Application Manager Activities, SAP LAMA, SAP GUI, SAP Business Client and SAP Standard best practices. These include the below subtasks:
  • Analysis on Onapsis tool the findings for ERP System and create a roadmap on how to resolve the findings and gaps based on own knowledge and experience
  • Check that all findings are resolved or differed with a Business justified reasoning based on client standards and own expertise until the end of Q2/2024 and present the results to client for a sign off
  • Implement LAMA capabilities where applicable to optimize SAP BASIS activities in regards to system security and stability Optimizing the SAP Backup / DR /HA solution
  • Assess current AS-IS solution for SAP ERP Backup/DR/HA solution, identify GAPS and propose solution based on Azure/Microsoft/SAP Best practices (online meeting)
  • Professionally create a documentation which includes improvement options for the SAP backup solution in the disaster recovery in Azure based on requirements and present the result to the Account Managers (online meeting)
  • Implement an improved SAP Backup/DR/HA solution based on the above outcome and own expertise and technically consult the architects in the different impacted line of Business on the signoff criteria.

Further Lama use cases:
  • Create and provide a proposal on further automatic SAP Kernel upgrade, SAP Hana Upgrade, implementation of the process to Stop/Start using SAP Lama Tool to the client
  • Review SAP Basis Support Structure and transparency for Deliverables to review the current structure and gaps to improve the relevant processes
  • Provide documentation about the revised processes and present them to the Account Manager for a sign off (online meeting)
  • Steer the technical team regarding installing, configuring and monitoring stable operations of SAP Landscapes and maintaining those applications where necessary based on own expertise and evaluation
  • Coordinate upgrades for servers, hardware, and software patching activities
  • Technically steer and coordinate the technical teams on the resolution of high impact issues and create a report on the progress and present it to the to senior management
  • Conduct professional application Management for Release Management with the goal that processes are running as documented, KPI delivered and issues solved based on own knowledge and experience
  • Steer and professionally consult the 3rd parties with the aim of monitoring SAP systems, reacting to System alerts and keeping the SAP systems up and running
  • Coordinate application and hardware maintenance within the Microsoft Azure based on own expertise
  • Execute the upgrades for the SAP GUI and its components relevant to the client for which the Application Management is accountable (list provided by the client)
  • Steer the team in terms of Release management and Audit deliverables with the aim to create the audit report for each quarter
