For one of our clients in the telecom sector, we are looking for a freelance DWH Consultant with telco experience.

Project Background
This role supports a B2B migration project aimed at modernizing core network infrastructure within the business telecommunications segment. The project focuses on adapting systems for next-generation products and services, including:

• All-IP Line (telephony over IP)

• Leased Lines (dedicated data connections)

The objective is to ensure the network environment is aligned with current and future technological standards.
Role Description
Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data management solutions in SQL Server for fixed-line and All-IP products

• Integrate both existing and new data sources from:

  • SQL Server and Oracle databases

  • CRM systems

  • Workflow management systems

• Build a central SQL-based database to consolidate data from multiple source systems

• Create and expand data evaluations and reports using Tableau for daily operational reporting

• Advise business departments (e.g., Technology, Order Management) on best practices in:

  • Customer data collection and maintenance

  • Data governance and process optimization

• Continuously improve the data management process and support the establishment of high-quality standards for future initiatives

Required Qualifications and Skills
Technical Skills

• Experience in designing and building scalable data architectures

• Strong knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL and SQL Server

• Proficient in Microsoft VBA and Microsoft Access

• Skilled in using Tableau for reporting and data visualization

• Ability to assess business processes and derive corresponding data structure requirements

Industry Knowledge

• In-depth expertise in fixed-line telecommunications, including:

  • Fiber Optic (FTTH)

  • Copper, DSL, and Cable technologies

• Demonstrated experience in B2B telecommunications environments

• Understanding of CRM and workflow systems relevant to telecom data management

Language Requirements

• Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken

Mandatory Requirement
Candidates must have clear and verifiable experience in the B2B fixed-line telecommunications sector (e.g., copper, cable, DSL, FTTH). This experience must be explicitly documented in the CV.
