For one of our clients we are looking for a an HSSE Specialist for solar park
Project name: Voslapper Groden Solar farm construction (Willhelmshaven)
Project Description: Construction of an 18 MW solar park is planned to commence circa October 2025 with an EPC contractor selected and contracts agreed.
The aim of the project is to build an 18MW solar park on the landscaped ash piles from the former Wilhelmshaven power station and then connect to the electricity Network within the existing site, with a planned completion date around March 2026.
Task description:
Professional analysis of the EPC HSSE plans and Risk assessments with the aim to check whether they are suitable prior to start and aligned fully with permit, contractual requirements, and local legal regulations by taking into consideration information provided by client in advance and own knowledge and experience.
Throughout construction monitoring of compliance with the permit conditions, contractual agreements, and Legal regulations with the goal of detecting deviations based on own expertise and professional evaluation.
Documentation of the results (deviations) and presentation to the EPC and Client's representative ("Site Manager") for decision making with regard to suitable measures. Record findings on the client systems provided in advance.
Accepting and processing of HSSE performance reporting on a weekly and monthly basis using internal client systems based on own expertise. Monitoring of performance data and providing feedback to the client and EPC to detect the need for improvement to reach project HSSE goals.
Professional consultation with the client asset owner with the aim to facilitate compliance of the EPC with their site requirements and processes.
Reviewing a monthly report from the EPC and processing the data into existing client systems, to present the current status of the project to client management.
Professional consultation of the Renewables team through the Construction team and Asset Project management teams' representatives with the aim to reach the project objectives
Required skills:
Full understanding of the German and state HSSE legislation for construction topics and high voltage electrical construction work
Fluent English and German
Knowledge of the SIGEKO qualification.
The ideal candidate has prior experience of Solar construction as EPC or Clients representative or similar industries.
Start: 18.08.2025 Capacity: part time (16h/week) Duration: Till 28.02.2026, extension for another 6 months possible Location: initially mainly remote, then from October 2025 through to the end of February/March 2026, we would require at least 2 days per week on site, coordination with the EPC and the Client Site Manager.
