For one of our clients we are looking for a Site Manager for the construction of a solar Power plant

Project name: Renewables 2024 Execution Portfolio (Wilhelmshaven)

Project description: the aim of the project Renewables 2024 Execution Portfolio is to successfully execute the construction of a solar power plant in the UK, Hungary and Germany.

Task:
  • Construction Oversight: to monitor daily construction activities with the goal to be compliant with design specifications, contractual requirements, environmental and safety regulations, and work package definitions that will be provided in advance from the client
  • Coordination of Internal Project Managers: to act as the on-site extension of the project management team, steering for seamless communication between the field and office. To provide progress updates weekly to escalate issues to the Project Managers, and to share insights to maintain control over scope, schedule, and budget.
  • NCR Management: to identify, document, and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with EPC contractors and internal teams. The goal of the task is that the corrective actions align with quality standards and WPM structures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: to maintain daily logs of site activities, including work package progress, issues, and safety incidents. To prepare weekly status reports, leveraging client's integrated software system designed for lean construction and WPM.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: to facilitate communication between contractors, subcontractors, and the internal project team. To coordinate inspections and site visits with third-party consultants, authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Compliance, Safety, and Lean Construction Implementation based on own expertise to enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. To address safety concerns promptly, to identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, and follow lean construction principles to reduce waste and for continuous improvement.

  • Must have: German and English.
  • We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with practical experience.
  • A university degree or vocational training with professional experience is desirable.
