Overview:
- This project encompasses the creation of designs for the Men's Training apparel collections for the Spring/Summer 2027 (SS27) and Fall/Winter 2027 (FW27) seasons.
- The aim of the project is the creation of complete, development-ready design packages for the specified seasonal collections. This requires specialized expertise in creating performance apparel concepts utilizing advanced 3D digital creation with Clo3D also using consumer and training cultural insights, which is currently not available internally.
Tasks:
- Concept creation: Independent development of consumer-relevant performance apparel concepts for the Men's Training FW27 collections. The concepts are based on an analysis of market data and trend reports. The outcome is a concept presentation document for each collection.
- Consumer research: Independent research and analysis of current consumer trends and needs relevant to men's training apparel; analysis is based on the contractor’s expertise. Delivery of results in a summary report shared via email to client.
- Performance apparel design: Independent creation of detailed apparel designs, including garment construction specifics and technical details based on own expertise.
- Material choice: Independent selection of performance fabrics and materials for the developed designs. The selection is based on the functional requirements of the garments and the established concept direction confirmed by client after creation milestones. Documentation of final selection within the design package.
- Creation of Digital 3D garments (max. 30, exact number based on marketing brief on Nov 12th): Independent creation of virtual 3D apparel prototypes within Clo3D software - Digital assets for design visualization.
- Visualizing ideas - Concept + Apparel design visualization: Independent creation of design visualization boards and materials within Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop). These visualizations illustrate the apparel concepts and individual designs.
- Techpack creation - illustrator: Independent creation of comprehensive technical packages ("Techpacks") for each design using Adobe Illustrator. Each techpack contains detailed flat sketches, construction details, bill of materials, color specifications, and measurement charts necessary for manufacturing.
- Garment fitting – SS27 (look, feel and size): Independent technical analysis of physical garment samples against the specifications outlined in the corresponding techpack. Documentation of any deviations in fit, measurement, or construction within fitting analysis report. This report will contain documented proposals for adjustments and shared with client via email.
- Design to cost – creation of market relevant products at the intended target price.
- Color upload SS27 – take color merchandising pages created in illustrator for each range and use Clo3d to individually upload color articles per style to creation portal, approx. 35 styles with 3 articles per style
- The presentation for concept review should consist of
- Intro page including the range name
- Creative Direction page which is showing the brand creative direction and Muse.
- Consumer page which is showing the target consumer for the concept / range.
- Mood – Creation of a page of visuals showing the mood / concept of the range.
- Mood Focus – Creation of a page showing 3 to 5 strong images to showcase the focus points of the range.
- Materials and trim page which is showing the direction of materials and trims used in the range.
- Keylooks page – Creation of at least 2 figures drawn in Illustrator showing the direction of the range. Translating the desired mood into products.
- Revision of presentation, taking into account feedback from client at concept review.
- Intro page including the range name
- Creative Direction page which is showing the brand creative direction and Muse.
- Consumer page which is showing the target consumer for the concept / range.
- Mood – Creation of a page of visuals showing the mood / concept of the range.
- Mood Focus – Creation of a page showing 3 to 5 strong images to showcase the focus points of the range.
- Materials and trim page – defined material + trims selection per style with material reference codes (mlm)
- Keylooks page – Creation of 80% of the range drawn on figures using Illustrator showing the direction of the range.
- Design of 80% styles in the range. Creation of flat sketches using Illustrator showing silhouette, construction details and materials placement.
- Revision of presentation, taking into account feedback from client at concept review.
- Intro page including the range name
- Creative Direction page which is showing the brand creative direction and Muse.
- Consumer page which is showing the target consumer for the concept / range.
- Mood – Creation of a page of visuals showing the mood / concept of the range.
- Mood Focus – Creation of a page showing 3 to 5 strong images to showcase the focus points of the range.
- Materials and trim page – defined material + trims selection per style with material reference codes (mlm).
- Creation of all styles based on given target cost and on the contractor’s expertise.
- Keylooks page – Creation of 100% of the range drawn on figures using Illustrator showing the direction of the range.
- Design of 100% styles in the range. Creation of flat sketches (max. 35) using Illustrator showing silhouette, construction details and materials placement.
- Merchandising pages – creation of pages showing the quarterly article split of all styles in the range
- Creation of flat drawing front, back , side views black and white sketch showing the garment design. Showing the material and trims placement.
- Including Fit + style reference, style working number + name, artwork and artwork placement if necessary, all component ref numbers
- Including colored sketches of the style front and back, color key and color code showing what color is used where.
- Submission of all created documentation, including concept presentations, analysis reports, design packages, and fitting analysis reports to client for approval.
