For one of our clients in the telco industry, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with a focus on Playwright (Elastic)

Background:

The development and quality assurance of the data layer includes its complete provision by the respective web application. The data layer forms the central data basis for the analysis of user behavior and for personalized content during the website visit. To increase reliability and stability, automated tests are to be used to significantly reduce manual regression testing. For this task, a Test Automation Engineer with a focus on Playwright (Elastic) is required.

Specifications:

Development and implementation of automated end-to-end tests with the npm package @elastic/synthetics (Playwright) for data layer testing.
Analysis of existing test processes, identification and prioritization of automation potential.
Create, maintain, and optimize test scripts based on current best practices.
Integrate the automated tests with existing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to enable end-to-end test automation.
Documentation of test cases, test results, and test coverage in tools like Jira and Confluence.
Advising stakeholders on the selection and introduction of appropriate testing strategies, testing tools and frameworks.
Perform code reviews for test automation scripts to improve quality and maintainability.
Creation of decision templates and recommendations for action for the further development of test automation.
Advice on error analysis and rectification in the context of test automation.
Advice on setting up reports and alerts with Elastic Observability.
Promoting the traceability and reproducibility of test results.
