For one of our clients in the sports clothing industry we are looking for a freelance AI Archive Senior 3D ML Engineer
Project name: 3D Generative AI Toolchain Development
Overview:
The AI Archive project is an initiative within the client to research, prototype, and develop internal capabilities for 3D product design and development using generative AI. The project focuses on identifying, adapting, and fine-tuning state-of-the-art 3D generative models to support specific use cases.
The toolchain leverages modern machine learning architectures and in-house datasets to enable AI assisted product design and engineering/creation.
Background:
The purpose of this assignment is to advance the client’s internal capabilities in 3D generative AI by developing and validating suitable algorithms and prototypes. The required expertise is highly specialized and currently not available within the internal teams.
Due to the advanced nature of modern 3D generative AI models and the rapidly evolving research landscape, the services are fully outsourced to an external contractor with deep expertise in Machine Learning and Computer Graphics. The contractor acts as an independent expert and provides services that are significantly different from those of internal staff.
The contractor operates independently and is not bound by internal instructions regarding working methods. The contractor does not participate in internal operational or strategic meetings.
Tasks:
Research into, evaluation of, and selection of state-of-the-art 3D generative AI algorithms and architectures
Prototyping and experimentation with modern 3D GenAI models using in-house datasets
Fine-tuning, optimization, and validation of selected models for defined use cases. Execution of validation with the validation dataset provided by the client upfront. Key metrics are geometric correctness, texture correctness, and part separation
Design and implementation of components within the internal 3D Generative AI toolchain
Translation of research concepts into functional, reproducible prototypes
Submission of / Handover of all developments towards client.
