For on of our clients in the energy industry, we are looking for a freelance SAP FI Consultant with knowledge in Report-to-Record (R2R)
Project name: SAP FI- Record2Report Testing (aka R2R)
Project description: The aim of the project is to test&document the developed functionalities in the area of FI R2R on the new S4HANA landscape as well on the legacy ERP landscape.

Main tasks of the external consultant:
1. Testing in the Report to Record (R2R) area:
- Primarily conduct tests in the new S/4HANA landscape (RISE / SAP Private Cloud Hosting).
- Occasionally perform adjustments or tests in the old legacy landscape (ERP on HANA) to ensure the compatibility and compliance of both systems during the transformation phase.
- Review and comparison of documentation and test scripts:
- Independent review of existing documentation.
- Review of test scripts in SAP Solution Manager.
- Verification that what is to be developed according to the documentation is also tested exactly as described in the test scripts (avoiding incorrect development or faulty tests).
2. Independent Work Style:
- The tester works largely independently in the R2R area (no large test team in the same area).
- Task tracking is done via Azure DevOps (DevOps / Forbes), although the methodology is not strictly agile/Scrum.
3. Language Skills:
English: Fluent knowledge is mandatory.
German: Advantageous (many business partners are located in Düsseldorf or Regensburg, for example), but not a requirement.

- Execution of predefined test scripts and unit testing activities within SAP Finance processes:
- General Ledger & Intercompany
- Asset Accounting
- Tax Reporting
- Banking
- FI Master Data
- Recording and maintenance of test results, deviations, observations, and test evidence in designated repositories (Sharepoint, Solution Manager, Microsoft Teams)
- Technical coordination and progress reporting of testing activities, including documentation of test-related actions and follow-up items with designated project stakeholders.
- Review and quality assessment of project documentation against predefined documentation standards.
- Review and maintenance of documentation records within designated repositories, including SAP Solution Manager.
- Maintenance of testing records, status information, and related artifacts in Azure DevOps.
- Preparation of testing status updates and documentation quality summaries.
- Execution of documentation reviews related to governance, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Documentation and tracking of identified findings and follow-up actions in accordance with project procedures.
- Creation of comprehensive documentation with all results regarding the above-mentioned tasks with subsequent handover to client for review and approval for further usage.

- SAP S/4HANA Finance, particularly Report-to-Record (R2R)
- SAP ERP FI
- SAP Solution Manager testing and documentation functionalities
- Azure DevOps
- Microsoft Office 365
