For one of our clients in the sportswear industry, we are looking for an Apparel Designer Color and Graphics

Overview:

Short description of the project: the client plans the design and creation of color / graphic design concepts for SMSU (Sports Marketing Service Unit).
The project has the purpose to achieve color design concepts for SMSU ranges to be put on women's and men's apparel.
The client needs the following external special expertise which is not available internally: Full understanding of the design process in Apparel. Up–to-date knowledge of sportswear consumer trends.

TASK 1:

Independent creation of Color/ graphic concepts for SMSU by bringing an outside perspective, creation is based on the project brief supplied by the SMSU marketing team upfront.
Independent creation of weekly concepts and designs to be used on women's and men's apparel as placed print or all over print.
Delivery of all designs in Illustrator or Clo.
The client will double check the design concepts for further use.
Execution and implementation of required design changes:
Upcoming design changes are briefed upfront in a weekly project related updates via MS Teams meeting. This includes updates on Boston marathon pack, French handball pack and European basketball club pack.
Implementation of design changes is based on the feedback received during the meeting; execution is based on own expertise.

TASK 2:

Independent creation of tech packs to communicate the chosen designs to development and T1 suppliers. Tech packs include Sketch of the style, color details, material details, 1 to 1 scale artwork, graded artwork on apparel patterns, color iterations per brief, repeats for all over prints (AOP´s), exact placement for placed prints.
Handover of tech packs in Illustrator to development in a Microsoft Teams handover session according to SMSU handover deadlines, Designs feasible within the briefed costing frame.
Adjustment of tech packs according to development and T1 input, including provision of professional consultancy, professional review if the apparel/ artwork can be produced, provision of re-work on the apparel / artwork to reflect costing issues, re-coloring of the artwork in case of color achievability issues.
Handover of adjusted tech packs for internal checks by the SMSU development team.
Execution and implementation of required design changes:

Submission of every design concept to client for approval.

Deliverables:

Creation of comprehensive documentation with all results regarding the above mentioned tasks with subsequent handover to client for review and approval for further usage.

The performance of the contractor has the goal:
Independent creation of color design concepts for SMSU.
