Project description:
Following a carve-out, the client has developed a series of key IT projects designed to transform the traditional network into a future-proof and performant environment. A number of projects have already been implemented within the unit with the key objective to transform the aging network infrastructure into modern technologies and services supporting client’s Cloud strategy and improving the experience of all users.
A part of this story and goal of this project is the network transformation to Zero Trust where SASE Ecosystem project takes care for the "the things around" the platform implementation to ensure stable operation and feedback improvements out from daily operation into the transformation activities.
Planned project: December 2024; planned to be continued with additional tasks in 2025.

Task description
- Conduct professional analysis of the business requirements and identification of gaps in the direction of multiple PoCs planned based on information provided by the client in advance and own knowledge.
- Creation of documentation of the results and proposed solutions in order to present them (online meeting) to the client’s Head of Connectivity for a sign-off by.
- Steering of implementation by internal and external partners (list provided by the client). Set Up a monitoring process incl. checking of operation performance based on own expertise.
- Based on the PoC planning results from the analysis, provision of input to the Service Owner External Network Connectivity Change Roadmap, which outlines all potential change/improvement milestones for the different services. Professional consultation of the technology partners regarding the definition of the roadmap using PowerPoint.
- Migration of infrastructure components onto the new technology.
- Provision of input to automation of ordering processes on network services based on own expertise.
- Conduct implementation, final testing, and production setting of the process incl. user communication guides and related documentation.
- Professional communication with project stakeholders with several dependencies on other infrastructure components and applications to gather information about potential negative impacts and find alternative methods that meet the requirements can use different technology.
- Create a documentation of the results and status and present (online meeting) them weekly to the Service Owner External Network for a sign-off.
- German & English – fluent;
- Experience in network infrastructure projects;
- Experience in the utilities & energy industry (nice-to-have)
- Experience in Zero Trust
