For one of our clients we are looking for a Business Analyst

Project description:
The current Uniper Gas Dispatch process requires high manual effort and as the process of the essential Gas Dispatch System DAISY was developed slightly decoupled from the processes in the surrounding Systems like ENDUR and Pegasus, the entire process chain is currently inefficient, has no harmonized structure and requires redundant tasks. Aim of the Sunflower Project is to replace the legacy Gas Dispatch Solution with a new IT Solution. For the selection of the new Software an As-Is and To-Be Phase had to be executed to derive the requirements. After the software selection the implementation of the Project has started. The services mentioned in the task description will be provided within the framework of an agile development method.

• Phase I (As-Is and To-Be design): 03/2021 – 11/2021
• Phase II (Implementation: 12/2021 – 10/2024

Detailed description of the agile method/services:

The services shall be provided within the framework of an agile development method. The concrete activities required in each case to implement the services commissioned shall be agreed iteratively between the parties within the framework of sprint meetings and implemented by the consultant within the respective sprints following the sprint meetings. Prior to each sprint meeting, the consultant shall independently check, on the basis of its professional expertise, which individual services are reasonable and feasible within the scope of the assignment in the respective sprint. The sprints each have a duration of 2 weeks, so that the sprint meetings take place at intervals of 2 weeks. Within the individual sprints, the contracting parties shall coordinate the respective technical requirements for the services to be provided in daily meetings in order to achieve the compatibility of the individual components of the software Sunflower. The technical requirements for the services to be provided are assessed by the consultant on the basis of its own technical assessment. After completion of a Sprint, the Parties shall conduct a “Sprint Review'' in which the consultant reports on the feasibility and status of the services performed by it in the previous Sprint and makes a recommendation on how to proceed with regard to the services that proved to be unfeasible in the respective Sprint. All of the meetings and exchanges described above shall take place exclusively in the presence of a central contact person named by Uniper, who shall coordinate the project on our internal side. The organisation and scheduling of the meetings described above in which the consultant is involved shall be organised and carried out by the consultant and coordinated with Uniper.


Tasks:

o Join the ongoing online biweekly sprint meetings on MS Teams and perform the role of business analyst. Meaning:
- Collect and coordinate business requirements (functional and non-functional)
- Transfer those business requirements into user stories in DevOps
- Add/adjust user stories if a coordination and consolidation of conflicting topics requires it
- Collect use cases from the business representatives in the team and other affected stakeholders
- Steer the project team in order to present open topics to the business lead for a decision to be made
- Highlight ambiguities, contradictions and impediments in collected business requirements to the business lead
- Provide professional consultancy regarding consolidation of conflicting requirements from business experts in the team
- Present the ratio of open to solved business requirements per use case to the PM and business lead (can be assessed from backlog in DevOps)
- Translate business requirements into development tasks for the developers
- Collect test cases from users and stakeholders (e.g. Workers Council, Data Protection Office, Information Security Office) and write them down
- Coordinate testing process according to the collected test cases by giving advice to PM and business leads on: Lead time for testing according to collected test cases
- Advice testers of the test cases and document results of testing process
- Present testing results to PM and Business lead
- Provide professional consultancy to PM and business lead with knowledge on business requirements and status of development when they prepare to report to management


o Attend meetings: Sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, retros and stand-up meetings as well as refinement sessions for backlogs
